Tasting Notes
A sumptuous Amarone, aged to the point of drinkability. The tannins have matured into a delicious coil of tension without any obtuse oak or astringency. The fruit has a backdrop of sandalwood, wood smoke, tamarind, cloves, turmeric and Asian plums. There is something exotic and beautifully fresh about this, not dissimilar to aged grenache. Bravo. Sustainable. I wouldn’t age this for too much longer. Another five years, maybe. Otherwise, decant and enjoy now.
